We are delighted to introduce our book, ” Precision Agriculture for Global Food Security”. As authors, we have put in a lot of effort and dedication to write this book, which we believe is an important contribution to the growing body of knowledge on precision farming and its potential to transform agriculture.

The inspiration for this book came from our collective interest in promoting sustainable and inclusive agriculture through the use of precision farming technologies and practices. We realized that there was a need for a comprehensive overview of precision farming, which could help policymakers, researchers, and
practitioners understand the benefits and challenges of precision farming and its potential for contributing to global food security.

In writing this book, we have drawn on our collective experience and expertise in the field of precision farming, as well as our research and practical work in different contexts. We have tried to provide a balanced and comprehensive overview of precision farming, covering its definition, key principles, types of technologies and practices, benefits and challenges, and applications in crop and livestock production,
environmental sustainability, smallholder agriculture, and policy and institutional frameworks.

We are extremely happy and proud to see our book published and available for readers around the world. We hope that it will serve as a valuable resource for anyone interested in the future of agriculture and global food security, and that it will contribute to the adoption of precision farming technologies and practices that are tailored to local contexts and meet the needs of different stakeholders.
